Our goal at AgriSouth is to help protect the family farm which is so vital to our existence and quality of life. So much emphasis is being placed on protecting the environment, which is good, but we must also protect our farmers and our small family farms. Our land, especially farmland, should be protected from foreign ownership and free of excessive taxation. In today's changing environment, big corporations, wealthy individuals and foreign governments are buying up as much farmland as they can. As we saw happen in the retail sector, large corporate buyouts of family owned businesses did not necessarily create better economic situations but deprived us of the small businesses that built this nation and cannot be replaced. America cannot risk loosing our family owned farmland. We work closely with farmers to assist them in saving their farms for generations to come.
